CAPTAIN TONY BUFFA FISHING CHARTERS
Fishing Report #11 07/13/10
Hello my fish'n noids;
It's time to wind down on Nieda and crank up Ontario. Tis time for "Salmon Enchanted Evening". Today, Tuesday July 13, Dr. Jake Revercomb, his seven year old son, Collin, from Jamesville, NY, Mike Chase, Chesapeake, VA., Todd Henning, Baltimore, MD., and Levi Parmerter, Boston, MA. fished a 3hr. outing from 6:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. on Oneida. We attacked the weeds with a spinner/worm rig and boated seven walleyes with four keepers, two smallmouths, and some pumkinseeds. Todd provided the excitement with a bruiser of a northern which bit through 20 pound test fluorocarbon.
Here's Collin with his 18 1/2 inch smallmouth.
On, Sunday, July 11, Dr. Mike Lavelle, Utica, NY tore up the bass on surface plugs. Here he is with an 18 inch smallmouth.
On Friday, July 9, I fished both morning and afternoon on Lake Ontario. During the morning run I had Kevin and Courtney Wood, Central Square, NY, Jeremy and Stephanie from Tunkhannock, PA and we boated a mixed bag of lake trout, steelhead, browns and a small king.
In the afternoon Bob Jones, B'ville, NY treated his grandsons, Dylan, and Joshua and sons-in-law Rick Hall, B'Ville, NY and John Qualls, Indianapolis, IN. to a brown trout outing. We boated seven by 5:00 P.M. and headed to port early to avoid the heavy downpour and high winds. The biggest brown was 12 pounds.
If your are interested in a Lake Ontario charter for July, I have the following dates still available...26, 27, 28, 29. Fishfully yours,
cap'n tony
