Fishing Report #2

03/19/08

Hello to all my fish'in friends:

I am back and armed with a new HP Duo  multiprocessor computer complete with 350GB hard dirve and 2GB of RAM, Vista operating system, flat screen HD viewing and enough software to keep me studying for the rest of my life. This is a quantum leap from my old klunker with WIN 98. Change is exciting and we are about to change from winter into spring in just a few days.

The Bandito III, safely tucked away in winter layup at Oswego Marina will make her "shake-down" cruise in early to mid April depending on the weather. Of course, soon after that  "FISHING BEGINS"! As usual we expect to find browns migrating along the warmer inshore waters as we begin our spring charters. Here is a peek at a few of last spring's trout catches:

Zach Koziol, Trent and Jeremy Taylor and Dave Dion from NJ jump started last spring with this nice limit catch of browns in late April 2007.

Here is Bob Boehlert, Utica, NY, Bob Kluska, Utica, NY, Bob Fancher, Baldwinsville, NY  and John Silvaggio, Syracuse,NY with a rack of browns caught in early May 2007 along the shoreline to the west of Oswego.

Spring catches like these are the norm when the weather cooperates. After refueling my energy over the winter months with teaching, reading, playing chess, and catching up on sleep I am very enthusiatic about the coming season. Especially with the reports coming from the trbutary anglers who have had an exceptional winter catching steelhead and browns. These fish will return to the lake and enhance our shoreline trolls.

If you are contemplating an early charter it is imperative to schedule your outing soon to assure the date of your choice.

I like Brussell Trouts with my meal,
